Default CJ carb spacer

Hi,

My brother recently puchased an old good CJ (well, not that old, it's a 1984 CJ7). Now it is sitting in the garage and waiting for some things that have to be made about it. He has already planned numerous mods for it (both interior and exterior). Anyways, for now it's only a project, bust should be something very cool.
Wanted to ask you guys a quick question. When making powertrain rebuild, want to get a new carburetor spacer in (to get better hp and to prevent that excessive heat). I am wondering if any of you guys tried installing a non-OE piece? What brands have you selected for your AMCs? We've got a 4.2 L l6, gasoline, 2-barrel carburettor.

Cheers!

Decided to get an OE-style one (https://www.carid.com/carburetor-spacers/), as discovered that the new performance spacer will make sense only if I do carb ugrades, which I do not plan for now. And there has to be a spacer anyways, so will get the one that's like was there before somebody lost it.
